Dr. Haytham Saleh is a triple-board-certified ophthalmologist who has built an exceptional international career across Egypt and Germany, combining the rigor of German academic medicine with deep expertise in advanced refractive and corneal surgery. He graduated from Cairo University in 2010 with a cumulative grade of Excellent (Honor) and immediately moved to Germany to begin his specialized surgical training.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious University Hospital Marburg, where he trained under Professor Walter Sekundo — the pioneering surgeon who first developed and introduced the SMILE procedure. This formative training established Dr. Saleh's mastery of small-incision lenticule extraction at its very source.
Dr. Haytham then spent over a decade advancing the field of refractive surgery at Germany's two most prominent laser vision centers — EuroEyes and Care Vision — in both Hannover and Hamburg. His tenure as Medical Director at EuroEyes Hannover solidified his reputation as a clinical leader capable of delivering surgical excellence at scale.
Since December 2025, Dr. Haytham has served as Co-owner and Section Head of Ophthalmic Surgery at Roya Eye Center in Stendal, Germany. He is also a recognized international instructor and has mentored numerous surgeons in laser refractive surgery and corneal tomography diagnostics.
